To the east of Mission City lies milepost 84 of Canadian Pacific's Cascade Subdivision. CN 2427 East passes the marker with the bell tower of Westminster Abbey visible on the hill in the background. Westminster Abbey a monastery, high school, and college run by Benedictine monks, was built in 1954 on this hillside overlooking the Fraser River Valley near Mission.
