The old KVR's relentless march eastward out of Princeton required another chain of
mountains to cross. The ascent eastbound required the construction of 3 loops to gain elevation and keep the grade under 2.2% between Belfort
and Jura, a distance of just 5 miles. The Okanagan Express tail-end observation car flows into one of the Loops built under the direction of
Andrew McCulloch. Osprey Lake lies at the summit about 22 miles further to the east.
