The Okanagan Express has reached its final destination here at Penticton. The town is
located between Okanagan Lake, the larger lake to the north home of the mythical monster named Ogopogo, and the smaller Skaha Lake to the
south. The Okanagan River connects both lakes. The first Kettle Valley passenger train arrived at Penticton in 1915. KVR trackage east and
up hill to the famous Myra Canyon Trestles was removed in 1980. Recently a wild fire burned the inside of the abandoned and unstable Adra
Tunnel near Naramata on this route.
