The modified Connaught Tunnel west portal ventilation building - Date/Photographer unknown. This full frontal view of
the rebuilt ventilation building must have been taken sometime after 1977. It shows the smaller towers containing newer diesel engines. Instead of
concrete construction the rebuilt towers appear to be built of cinder blocks. Various windows and doors in the lower concrete part of the original
structure have been filled in. Considering the amount of snow that falls here it's odd that the rebuilt structure has a flat roof.
