CPR Staff Hurt by
Falling Wall
Brandon - Two Canadian
Pacific Rail employees were hurt yesterday when a timber retaining wall fell on two locomotives as
they approached the Brandon rail yard. "Part of it pushed out and collapsed on the train,"
said Fire Department Capt. Dale Macmillan.
The conductor's arm was injured and a trainee conductor suffered scrapes and bruises. Both were
treated at the Brandon Regional Health Centre and released.
The train received minor damage.
An additional locomotive was brought to the scene to pull 69 rail cars into the rail yard. The
accident is under investigation.
