Canadian Pacific Railway and BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING are coming to your town with the CPR Empress 2816 steam train. The train will help raise more than $50,000 for children in school-based breakfast, lunch and snack programs and help raise awareness of the importance of giving all children in Canada the opportunity to attend school well nourished and ready to learn. The steam train will make 15 scheduled stops in Saskatchewan and Alberta in four days to benefit BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING.
The train, a fully restored vintage steam locomotive, built in 1930, includes two beautiful heritage cars, and passengers are invited to come aboard at a cost of $30.00 per person for a one-way trip.
Children 13 years and under are invited to bring along a hand-drawn picture of the CPR Empress steam train. BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING staff and Canadian Pacific Railway crew will judge entries along each route and award a prize to the winner.
Get on board, take trip back in time to help the future of Canada's kids.
