12 November 2004 CP to Run Special Toys for Tots Train Again this Year For the 6th consecutive year, CPR/D&H will provide a special train in conjunction with the US Marines, commencing at Albany (Kenwood), stopping in Mechanicville, Saratoga, Fort Edward, Whitehall, Port Henry and Plattsburgh, on Sunday, 12 Dec 2004. For the second year, a train will be operating on Saturday, 11 Dec 2004, originating in Binghamton, and stopping at Sidney, Oneonta, Cobleskill and Delanson. For over 50 years the US Marine Corps has been the unchallenged leader in looking after America's needy children at Christmas. Santa will be on both trains to greet children along the way and a volunteer staff of Marines, D&H personnel and The National Association of Railway Business Women will accompany the train. Toys for Tots boxes will be placed at various locations along the railroad to collect gifts. All gifts must be received by 6 Dec 2004. Saturday, 11 Dec 2004, the train will be in Binghamton [Conklin yard, west end] at approximately 10:25am, Sidney [West Street crossing] 12:15pm, Oneonta [Gas Avenue] 1:15pm, Cobleskill [south end at fire company] 2:40pm, Delanson [Railroad Avenue] 3:45pm, deadhead on to Albany. Sunday, 12 Dec 2004, the train will be in Albany [Kenwood Yard] 7:30am, Mechanicsville [Elks, west side] 8:50am, Saratoga Station 9:50am, Fort Edward Station 10:40am, Whitehall Station 11:30am, Port Henry Station 12:45pm, and Plattsburg at 3pm.
