Rocky Mountain Express Coming Winter 2010
The iMax production of "Rocky Mountain Express" will
propel audiences on a steam train journey through the Canadian Rockies - revealing along the way, the heroic human drama and epic
engineering involved in shaping a nearly impossible transcontinental railway link.
Director Stephen Low is one of the most experienced filmmakers in the large format medium, bringing to his work a unique storytelling
vision and an understanding of the language, limitations, and tremendous possibilities of giant screen 2D and 3D cinema.
His innovative approach to filmmaking has resulted in over 50 awards world-wide, including the prestigious Grierson Award
for achievement in documentary film and most recently, the Kodak Vision Award for Lifetime Achievement, presented by the Giant Screen
Cinema.
The Stephen Low Company is on continuous safari - hunting down incredible stories and figuring out ways to turn them into unique giant
screen audience experiences.
High impact storytelling is what our work is all about. From filming the Titanic in the deep Atlantic to capturing
super-sonic air combat exercises and the action of championship auto racing, the Stephen Low Company has established a
unique record of cinema innovation and achievement. The team has pushed the frontiers of 3D, giant screen drama, and natural history
filmmaking - reaching vast audiences around the world with original, engaging, and visually dramatic stories.
The release of "Rocky Mountain Express" is anticipated during the winter of 2010.
