| New 1893 CPR Station at Heritage
Park
Calgary Alberta - There have been tremendous changes at Heritage Park this season.
A "NEW" replica of Canadian Pacific's 1893 Calgary Station has opened at the entrance to the park.
While some construction is still on-going, i.e. track laying for a new streetcar route, paving the
parking lot, planting flowers, grass, and shrubs, the park is open for business as usual.
The main entrance has changed completely with the building of Gasoline Alley and surrounding structures.
Inside the park steam locomotive number 2024 was active hauling two coaches and an ex-CN open observation car
around the loop of track every half hour.
If you're planning a trip to Calgary be sure to visit Heritage Park, it's well worth the value.
Bring walking shoes, you'll explore a lot of ground.
P.S. Come back here to Cordova Station in July for a complete run down on the railway structures located in Heritage
Park.
