Celebrate N.B. Day in McAdam
McAdam Station.
McAdam New Brunswick - McAdam's historic landmark -
its train station - will be the backdrop for the province's official 2009 New Brunswick Day celebrations.
The event, which will run on New Brunswick Day, 3 Aug 2009 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will feature visits from Lt. Gov.
Hermenegilde Chiasson, Premier Shawn Graham, as well as MLAs, MPs, a Senator, and members of the military from CFB Gagetown.
Local entertainers will be on hand to perform for guests, who will share a piece of the giant N.B. Day cake. Events will include a
barbecue, LAV, and train engine rides.
Guests can also be on hand to extend a welcome to more than 180 railway enthusiasts and dignitaries arriving on a special N.B. Day
train.
First prize winners of the New Brunswick Day writing and drawing contest will receive their awards and the annual New Brunswick Day
Merit Awards will be presented during the ceremonies.
