CP Malfunction Spills Oil on Cars, Mall
Kamloops British Columbia - It was a puff of smoke felt in the
downtown core.
As a result, some car owners and the Lansdowne Village mall are in line for some remedial work, courtesy of Canadian Pacific Railway.
Company spokesman Mike Lovecchio said a mechanical malfunction in a locomotive engine in CP's downtown yard created a cloud of smoke
and resulted in some lube oil falling on 16 cars and on the roof of the mall.
As a result, CP will be replacing some air-conditioning grills at Lansdowne Mall and will be covering the cost of
detailing the cars affected.
There were no injuries due to the malfunction.
Call CP at 1-800-766-7912 if your vehicle was involved and you need more information.
