Canadian Pacific GP20C-ECO
Muncie Indiana USA - Today we were treated to an early Christmas present with a group of beautiful new Canadian Pacific GP20C-ECO
locomotives fresh out of the paint shop and under testing.
The GP20C-ECO program is part of a large Canadian Pacific order for EMD ECO locomotives.
30 such units are on this order and currently in production in Muncie, Indiana, USA.
The frame, cab, hoods, and fuel tank are all brand-new.
Many other components, such as the DOFASCO trucks and prime mover, have been refurbished and used so that just enough older product is used to consider them
remanufactured.
As you can see the locomotive sports a long short hood followed by a long hood that looks much like a GP60.
The long hood also has a single chime horn at the rear as you can see in the second photo below.
Overland Models intends to produce these locomotives in HO scale, brass, factory painted, lettered, with lights and ditch lights.
They will likely be in production for 2014.
Keep in contact with Overland Models for more details and pricing to be announced.
