Kamloops British Columbia - A 47-year-old man is now dead and a 22-year-old man is in hospital after they were hit by a Canadian Pacific train in Kamloops Wednesday night.
 
The incident happened just before midnight near the Trans-Canada highway and Comazzetto Road.
 
CP officials and RCMP were called to the scene and found the two men who appeared to be carrying plywood before they were hit.
 
The elder of the two men was known to police but the incident is believed to be accidental.
 
The coroner's service and RCMP are now conducting the investigation.
