Calgary Alberta - CPKC has released a more detailed schedule of dates, display times, and locations for its Final Spike Steam Tour, the three-nation trip featuring CPKC 4-6-4 number 2816 to mark the first year of the merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern.
 
The trip begins 24 Apr 2024 in Calgary with a display at CPKC's head office at 7550 Ogden Dale Road from 15:00 to 20:00.
 
The U.S. portion concludes 28 May 2024 in Laredo, Texas, at CPKC's Laredo Yard, 604 Serrano Road, with display from 16:00 to 20:00.

28 Apr 2024, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan: CPKC parking lot, 3 Manitoba Street E., noon-16:00;
 
30 Apr 2024, Minot, N.D.: Main Street North railroad crossing, 16:00-19:00;
 
3 May 2024, St. Paul, Minn: Union Depot, 214 4th Street East, 15:00-20:00;
 
8 May 2024, Franklin Park, Ill.: Franklin Park, 9748 Franklin Ave., 15:00-20:00;
 
10 May 2024, Davenport, Iowa: Quinlan Court, 101 East River Drive, 14:00-17:00;

The railroad has previously said a stop is also planned in Monterrey, Mexico, on 31 May 2024 before the tour concludes in Mexico City on 4 Jun 2024.
