THOMPSON SUBDIVISION FOOTNOTES

The station named Gladwin at mile 90.1 is eliminated effective 6 February 2003.

Mainline track between Vancouver and Calgary is all CTC. Consequently trains do not run to a published schedule with the exception of VIA Rail, and the Great Canadian Railtour Company passenger trains.

There is a trackage sharing agreement with Canadian National in the Fraser and Thompson Canyons. Normally, trains travel east on CPR tracks and west on CN tracks between Nepa and Mission-Matsqui junctions but there may be exceptions to this practice.

The Kamloops switching zone extends from Kamloops to mile 3.5

The Ashcroft switching zone extends from mile 43.0 to mile 49.0

The Nepa switching zone extends from mile 54.7 to mile 54.9

The connection to CN at Cisco is rarely used.

Canadian Pacific Railway Police 24 hour nation-wide service 1-800-551-2553.

Talking Detector System locations are marked in blue.

WARNING - Expect trains in any direction at any time.
