Major Highway Now Opened North of the Trans-Canada After Derailment

Manitoba - Snow and blowing snow have caused all sorts of problems in the area and some highways are closed due to treacherous conditions.
Just north of Highway 1 and 16 intersection on Highway 16, traffic was stopped in both directions because of another reason, a train derailment.
The incident happened around 04:30 and there is no other information available at this time.
Crews are on the scene, traffic could not move in either direction on one of Manitoba's busiest highways.
The derailment is about 1 kilometer north of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Highway 16 is now open after the train derailment caused the closure.
