Guelph Ontario - The City invites commuters, Guelph residents, and local media outlets to the official grand reopening of the newly renovated Guelph Central Train Station.
The recently completed $2.1 million renovation improved accessibility and functionality of the train station, while restoring cultural heritage features.
The renovated train station now offers users a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance, accessible and upgraded public washrooms, more ticket booths for commuter convenience, and a more open and comfortable public seating area.
The events will take place on Wednesday, 19 Apr 2017, at 09:00 for the ribbon cutting and speeches with Mayor Cam Guthrie and members of Council, Guelph Transit, Metrolinx, GO Transit, and Greyhound Canada staff.
The ceremony will be at the Guelph Central Train Station, 79 Carden Street, Guelph.
Parking is available in the Wilson Street parking lot (corner of Wilson and Northumberland streets) and fees will be waved for the ribbon cutting event from 08:45 to 09:45.
Please don't park in front of Guelph Central Train Station.
