This view of Maespoeth may not be very pretty but it's important because it shows the reason this location is properly named Maespoeth Junction. The track leading up the hill to the left lies on the old Corris Uchaf (Upper Corris) Tramway that served the four quarries there. This now short track was recently used by engine No. 7, Tattoo, upon unloading from it's lorry to gain Corris trackage.
