The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is a heritage railway in North Yorkshire, England, that runs through the North York Moors National Park between Pickering and Grosmont. The line originated in 1836 as the Whitby & Pickering Railway to transport goods to and from the seaport of Whitby. In 1973 North York Moors Historical Railway Trust Ltd. formed the tourist attraction it is today.
