Passengers mill about the platform at Andermatt during the brief stop there. Look carefully above the train and you will find a tunnel portal. This tunnel is one of three that are traversed during the climb up the switchbacks used to gain elevation on the climb to the summit of Oberalp Pass at 2,033 metres (6,670 feet).
