The main entrance to Gilfach Ddu, now the National Slate Museum, lies beneath the clock on the right. Tracks from the Llanberis Lake Railway cross the road behind the camera and lead into Gilfach Ddu. Wild Aster may be seen in the open archway with Topsy resting to the right. The railway's right-of-way lies behind the wire fence across the road on the left.
