The Niles Depot Museum was moved from its original location to this spot across from all the shops along the main street of Niles. Notice it is now facing backwards with the operator's bay window facing away from the tracks. Plans call for it to open to the public in May 2010. The museum is not directly associated with the Niles Canyon Railway but on days when the railway is operating buses will pick up passengers here for transfer across the tracks to the Niles Canyon Railway's platform and small depot.
