6 April 2011 McCloud's Railroad History Hits the Road McCloud California USA - The colorful age of steam on McCloud's rails came to a close 30 Mar 2011 when the last surviving oil-burning steam locomotive No. 25 and its tender were loaded onto separate low-boys and trucked away to a destination many miles from their home rails. McCloud steam locomotive No. 25 makes its last run over the summit at Snowman Hill, but this time not under its own steam. 30 Mar 2011 it was loaded on a 134 foot, 13 axle, rear drive, semi-trailer and transported to its new owner, the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Garibaldi, Oregon. |
