This newspaper staff visited the depot and met Nicole Andrea Stähli there.
She belongs to the depot crew who maintain and repair the diesel and steam locomotives.
The young woman from Aargau moved to Realp, and like many others at the Furka Bergestrecke steam railway, does serf work.
Managing director Urs Züllig also receives no remuneration for his work.
"We will never earn enough to be able to pay dividends, but we can stay afloat. And, the train is running," said Züllig.
A major project that the Furka Steam Railway wants to implement is the construction of a shelter for the nostalgic wooden wagons.

The timetable is also to be adjusted in the future.
"With the current rolling stock, expansion is possible and realistic," Züllig is convinced.
