The Alpine Classic Pullman Express train is comprised of vintage 1930s style cars restored for use on special trips through the Swiss Alps. Plush upholstery, shining brassware, and damask tablecloths characterise the interior of the dining car on this legendary train. It even consists of a piano car with bar service. A trip starts in St. Moritz or Zermatt with carefully programmed stops along the route including a steam hauled trip on the Dampfbahn Furka-Bergstrecke (DFB) over Furka Pass. Accommodation includes an overnight stay in Andermatt. On the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn the train is pulled by an HGe 4/4 I electric locomotive built by Schweizerische Lokomotiv und Maschinenfabrik between 1941 and 1956. The flat-rate fare for this trip is 1,250 francs ($1,525) per person with a single-room supplement of 50 francs ($61).
