Taliesin, a single Fairlie, leads classic heritage train carriages up to Penrhyn past several houses lying close to the line. The odd looking second car is known as "The Flying Bench". This third class car has been fitted with a canvas canopy and leather aprons. The "Bench" is not used for normal passenger operations so is only rarely seen. In use it requires a "competent person" to be in charge when carrying passengers.
