Here's the National Rail diamond mentioned in the previous photograph caption. Linda is crossing northbound with a goods train heading for the Pont Croesor passing loop. There she will wait for a meet with a southbound train before continuing north to Hafod-y-Llyn. At Hafod-y-Llyn Linda will run-around her consist and return to Pont Croesor to wait for northbound double-headed Garratts. When they stop at Pont Croesor she will tack her consist onto the rear of the double-headed Garratts for forwarding to Caernarfon then return to Porthmadog. That was the scheduled plan but a gondola in Linda's consist lost a brake block upon arrival at Pont Croesor so they waited while replacement parts were delivered by car from Porthmadog. Linda's driver replaced the brake block and she got underway with little to no effect on the schedule.
