Farther up the mountain, elevation now 687 metres (2,254 feet), the train comes to a stop at Schierke bahnhof which has two platforms and three tracks serving the village of Schierke one and a half kilometres to the west. The station holds a restaurant, souvenir shop, and a ticket office.
