A westbound container train passes the signal bridge at Valentine East viewed between two strange looking Staghorn Cholla cactii. The signals on the bridge must be for controlling the crossover switches located a short way back beneath the train. The third track is a double-ended siding which connects Valentine East and Valentine West, also the location of a signal bridge and crossover switches.
