Leaving Williams Junction the Seligman Sub roughly parallels the south side of Interstate 40 for about 24 miles until just past Exit 190 where the Sub crosses beneath the highway to wind through the forested hills west of Flagstaff. Driving east on I-40 Exit 191 will lead back onto Route 66 where North Belle Springs Road, really just a dirt trail through the pine forest, will be found. It passes under the mainlines shown here in this photo. Oddly enough this same unit was photographed waiting for a crew change in Needles many hours later the same day.
