The annual Civil Week is traditionally held at the end of the summer season to tackle tasks along the five-mile line. The major project this year was the relaying of track through Haworth Station. Some work was also carried out at Keighley. K&WVR spokesman Jim Shipley said: "We had some bad weather early in the week, which slowed things down a little, so it was a race against time to have things finished for Saturday. But the teams work hard and long hours." Anonymous Author. |
