Brig Switzerland - Looking for a unique experience?
Then how about having brunch on a train?
In 2013 Switzerland's famed Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) will be offering brunch train trips for those travelers heading to Zermatt.
Passengers can use the line between Brig and Zermatt, on Sundays beginning 27 Jan 2013 through 7 Apr 2013.
The new route for these brunch train rides aboard the Glacier Express coach travels from Brig/Visp to Zermatt.
The panoramic car enables guests to enjoy an amazing train ride to the highest mountains in the Alps navigable by rail.
The Nikolaital and Mattertal valleys allow for spectacular scenery on a train supported by a cog wheel mechanism.
Upon arriving in Zermatt, visitors will also have the opportunity to travel up the Gornergrat at a reduced price and enjoy a grand Alpine experience via toboggan or on foot.
The self-service buffet brunch is made with local and regional products from the cantons of Valais, Uri, and Graubünden.
Breakfast buffet treats are served on the outward journey while on the return ride cheese is served as well as an extensive selection of desserts.
Prices for adults are CH98 (swiss francs) and CH49 for children.
Trips also run during the weekdays, at slightly reduce prices.
The trip begins in Brig at 09:05 and departs Visp at 09:25, arriving in Zermatt at 11:00.
