A southbound, towards Dartmouth, train lead by Hercules crosses the Broadsands Viaduct. There are 3 viaducts designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel on the line. From north to south, Broadsands, Hookhills, and Maypool. Also, the spanning of Noss Creek was originally accomplished with a Brunel designed wooden trestle, since replaced with a fill.
