TOP - The signal box that isn't a signal box! It holds the modern corporate offices of the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company. Some local residents "believe the two-storey building is a blot on the landscape which obscures the views across the river Dart". Hidden behind the station buildings it remains to be seen how it blocks anyones view. Besides, historically there was a previous signal box at Kingswear, and in a much more prominent location near the station's throat than this new signal box, as the photo above shows.
