The line passes through a depression above the Tanygrisiau reservoir as it gains elevation enroute to Tanygrisiau station. "Blanche" seems to be putting out excessive black smoke as she works downgrade here towards Porthmadog. Cwmorthin Quarry waste can be seen on the hill to the left.
