This early E&N tank engine, photographed at Russell's Roundhouse in Victoria West, was part of the Bordertown Publishing photo collection offered for sale about the 1960's. Two other photos in the BC Archives also show it at the roundhouse. 2-4-2T Columbia type class T9e number 6004 was built by Montreal Locomotive Works in November 1911 with 14 x 22 inch cylinders and 44 inch driving wheels. It was possibly scrapped sometime during 1931. These locomotives were used to cross the 1888 swing bridge into Victoria due to the bridge's light construction.
