In April of 2001 the Pacific Wilderness Railway was preparing for the season's excursions by carrying out maintenance on their locomotives, numbers 703, 705, and 706 which were to receive a 92 day service check. The parlor car, "Malahat Mountain", was in the carshop at Victoria West to have the jaw liners on the end of one truck replaced.
This sign was located near their platform in downtown Victoria by the VIA Rail station.
