Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire England United Kingdom - A Hollywood star surprised volunteers at a tourist attraction in Bedfordshire when he turned up with his young son.
John Travolta visited Leighton Buzzard narrow gauge railway on Wednesday to take his son Benjamin for a train ride.
Staff at the railway said the actor, 59, is staying at a nearby hotel while working, and wanted somewhere interesting to take his two-year-old.
A railway spokesman said the star told staff he had enjoyed the visit and would try to come again in future.
The pair spent an hour on the steam-hauled passenger train and arrived with an entourage, who had visited earlier in the day to check out the site and book tickets.
The Leighton Buzzard Railway opened in 1919 to transport sand and is believed to be one of the last remaining 2 foot (610 mm) gauge railways in the UK.
