Diesel mechanical locomotive number 03144 is a class 03 loco built by British Railways at Swindon Works in 1960. Powered with an 8 cylinder 204 horsepower Gardner engine the unit has a distinctive lowered cab that permitted work on the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley branch line in Wales. Construction of this new modern shed at Leeming Bar began in December 2017. The shed was complete and useable by June 2018 after track was laid into the shed.
