Foremarke Hall was still working the line this day as it stopped beneath the B4077 roadway overbridge at Toddington. 7903 is a Hall class built at GWR's Swindon Shops in 1949. When service ended on British Railways in 1964 the engine was sold as scrap to that famous scrapyard in Barry, Wales. In 1981 the locomotive was saved for preservation, fully restored by 2003 it was used by several railways before arriving at the GWSR in 2004. The latest 10-year overhaul was completed by Tyseley Locomotive Works in 2016.
