A fire in Cheltenham has stopped trains on the Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway.
The fire started in Woodmancote at around 16:20 and two fire engines responded to the incident.
It is believed that the fire started around the Two Hedges Road bridge area of the railway.
A Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson said, "We were called at 16:22 this evening to a fire on the rail embankment in Woodmancote. Two fire engines attended, one from Cheltenham East and one from Cheltenham West, and were joined on the scene by the police. The fire has now been dealt with, our crews using two jets and a hose reel to put it out."
Thomas the Tank was among the trains stopped by the fire as the famous engine was running on the line throughout Saturday.
The fire was on the grass verge next to the railway.
It is believed that one of the steam trains emitted embers which caught fire on the dry grass verges.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary confirmed that they had sent a single police unit the scene.
They said, "We have had reports of a fire on the embankment. We have a PCSO on the scene to liaise. Incident 309 of 23 Jun 2018 refers."
