Austerity 0-6-0ST War Department number 152 named "Rennes" northbound in the Forest of Dean approaches Parkend with five slam-door heritage carriages. The engine is lettered LMR for the Longmoor Military Railway in Hampshire constructed by the Royal Engineers beginning in 1903 in order to train soldiers on railway construction and operation. Originally designed in 1923 for shunting (switching) by the Hunslet Engine Company the engine became the standard British shunting locomotive during the Second World War. In total 485 were built by various manufacturers between 1943 and 1964. 70 have been preserved.
