These three photos show Lydney Harbour. The top photo looks towards the Severn River showing first the harbour, lock, entrance, and the Severn River in the distance. Coal wagons, when the track and tippers existed, were unloaded into coal boats on the right side of the harbour. The second photo shows the channel entrance gates with Severn River silt nearly filling the entrance channel. In the third shot the tide is so high it causes the Severn River to flow over the entrance gates - High tide photo 2013 Peter Randall-Cook.
