Sapper performs another run-around at Avon Riverside, the present southern end of the line. The railway intends to expand their route south from this location to Newbridge. Newbridge doesn't appear on Google's map, however, there's a railway overbridge above Mead Lane then another bridge over the Avon River at Saltford. This might be an appropriate termination point for any expansion. South of this point the presently abandoned line is used by the Bristol and Bath Railway Path which crosses the Avon River two more times before reaching Bath. Judging by Google's satellite photos and map of this area it appears possible the heritage line might one day reach as far as Bath.
