The Plasser welder was waiting at Troublesome for this eastbound shown here at Parshall. The lead unit, Union Pacific 6298, has not yet been repainted from its Southern Pacific livery. The train is hauling coal off the Craig Branch. Two units lead with two more mid-train slaves and there is DPU (Distributed Power Unit) on the rear. I suspect this number of units is required for braking purposes on the 2.14 percent ruling grade.
