Union Pacific 8735 South passes beneath the upper Perry Arch Bridge. This high arch concrete bridge was designed by Conde B. McCullough, Oregon's State Bridge Engineer appointed in 1919, who designed site-specific structures with a pleasing profile. With the completion of Interstate Highway 84 maintenance of the bridge declined and due to the freeze-thaw cycles its condition deteriorated significantly until renovation revived it in 2009.
