Since the start of the corona virus pandemic rules on where you can or can't travel to internationally have been frequently changing.
Although restrictions have recently been eased by the UK Government for travellers returning to the UK from amber and green-list locations, different rules set by other countries mean that international travel can still prove difficult.
Holidaymakers will find that each place has its own rules depending on how the Covid risk is measured, and rules may also vary depending on how you travel, your age, and whether or not you are fully vaccinated.
As of 04:00, Monday, 30 Aug 2021, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, and the Azores will all move from amber to green on the UK Government's travel list.
Although Canada will be added to the green list, Canadian authorities are currently barring entry to Canada to British nationals.
There are exceptions to this rule, with temporary foreign workers, a large majority of international students, Canadian citizens, and permanent residents or their immediate and extended families allowed to travel.
All travellers aged five and above arriving in the country by air have to provide a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of the scheduled flight.
Passengers will be denied boarding without a negative test.
