It operates standard gauge heritage trams along its 0.85 mile (1.37 kilometres) of track laid in a setted street (similar to irregular shaped cobblestone but quarried rectangular stone), some asphalt paved areas, and a ballasted section past multiple recreated period structures including the Eagle Press print shop, Red Lion Pub, Bowes-Lyon Bridge, Rita's Tea Room, Barnett's old fashioned sweet shop, the Derby Assembly Rooms, and Forge Gift Shop, plus the Great Exhibition Hall, transfer table, and the Tram Depot of course.
