Sooke Mayor Acclaimed by Federal NDP to Run in Next Election

Sooke Mayor Maja Tait is set to be acclaimed as the federal NDP candidate for the Federal Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke riding.
Riding president Grant McLachlan confirmed the news in an email to the Sooke News Mirror on 13 Aug 2023.
The next federal election is currently scheduled for 20 Oct 2025.
The official acclamation is scheduled for Thursday, 31 Aug 2023 at 18:30.
