"The Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce is inviting individuals to recognize exceptional businesses and entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the local business landscape. The 2023 awards not only acknowledge the accomplishments of local businesses and entrepreneurs, but also serve as a platform to celebrate the vibrant business community in Sooke. By recognizing the dedication, innovations, and resilience of these individuals, the awards ceremony fosters a spirit of growth and collaboration, which contributes to the overall prosperity of the region," said Britt Santowski, executive director for the Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce.
 
Nominations for business enthusiasts, community members, and individuals who have displayed excellence, innovation, and resilience in their respective fields can be made through an online nomination form (nominations now closed).
 
The deadline for nominations is 15 Sep 2023 and voting begins 20 Sep 2023.
 
"The Sooke Celebrates event, the pinnacle of the Business Excellence Awards, is scheduled for 18 Nov 2023 at Edward Milne Community School. This gala event will be opened by the mesmerizing West Coast cabaret, adding flair to the evening. The highlight will be a stand-up performance by Sooke native Kevin Banner, a nationally acclaimed comedian. I've seen Kevin before and he's absolutely hilarious, and we're really excited to have him. This promises to be our biggest and best awards event to date," Santowski said.
